Spring Semester Ends with ART Flying and soaring to Summer ART CAMP!

We’re designing and flying Kites in Central Park for our final week of the Spring Semester at Art Adventures. Adventurers create stained glass style kites with magical creatures as inspired by the work of Marc Chagall! While our Studio class takes inspiration from nature painting mini landscapes of their surroundings on their kites. Excited to see ART soar through the sky this week and even more thrilled for another successful Art Adventure this year! Thank you for another great year and see you for Summer Camp this June and for our Fall Semester!

Au Revoir Spring 2017

Thank you Art Adventurers for another wonderfully creative year! We had a blast for our final days in the classroom and at Central Park with our visiting artists!

Sol LeWitt Wall Drawing @ the Met with Art Adventures

We were lucky enough to watch this incredibly detailed process on and Art Adventures summer camp tour, by happy accident.  I’ve attached a link to the process if you are not familiar with his work, his instructions or his new Wall Drawing #370 at the Met!

We were there on days 10-14, when they were “inking” in the black.  The crew walked us through the process, showed us their materials, the written instructions (this was cool) and were fabulous with the kids and their questions! (and ours:) 2014-06-20 10.41.22

Join CCA This Summer!

Happy May Day! Summer will be here before you know it. Join CCA this year for June Art Adventures Summer Camp and experience contemporary art in a whole new way.

Our camps engage and inspire through exciting hands-on creative activities and material exploration! With this longer time spent, there is ample time to dive into learning and fun through art and the artists of NYC.

Monday-Thursday is at All Souls Church with daily easel painting + inspiring 2D & 3D larger scale art processes, free choice art stations, group murals and directed sketching time for older kids. They work on several pieces per day, with varying mediums.  Fridays are at the Met.
